Principles and Doctrines:
The Lord provides truth, priesthood authority, ordinances, and organization through His prophets.

God loves His children and has provided a plan of salvation and happiness for them. He always reveals His plan though His prophets. Under divine guidance, these prohpets ensure that the teaching of gospel truths is taught correctly. Prohpets also ensure that the Church is organized properly and functions for the benefit of those who accept the Lord's commandments.

Supporting Scriptures:

Alma 12:27-30-God makes known his works throught his servants. The prohpets are important servants who move about his work under his direction.

D&C 1:38-God says that it doesn't matter who speaks his word, it wil always come to pass, whether it comes from prophets or his own mouth, it is the same.

Inspirational Writings:

Prophets are mouthpieces for God, the Lord provides and directs the use of His sacred ordinances through His prophets. We learn that it doesn't matter if it comes from the mouth of a prophet, or directly from the mouth of God, we should always treat it as if it is sacred doctrine because it is. Next time we are in General Conference or reading the Ensign, we should realize that if we are faithful servents we will heed to the word.

Principles and Doctrines: The Atonement of Jesus Christ makes it possible to overcome the obstacles of spiritual and physical death.

We cannot be saved from sin and live eternally with our Father in Heaven without the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, in His infinite mercy, sent his Only Begotten Son, who was not subject to death nor to sin, to provide the means of escape. This he did through his infinite atonement and the everlasting gospel.

Supporting Scriptures:

2 Nephi 2:25-27-Jesus suffered the Atonement for all men. That we may have the agency and freedom to chose to repent and live with God in Heaven.

Alma 34:8-10-Amulek leaves his testimony that we are saved from sin in the reality of the Atonement. Also he says that it is a great and eternal sacrifice.

Inspirational Writings:

Spiritual death was introduced into the world by the fall of Adam. Mortals with evil thought, words, and works are spiritually dead while still alive on the earth. It's important to understand that the Atonement not only save us from spiritual death, but because of that it also makes it possible to overcome the obstacles of physical death as well, if we faithfully use it.

Principles and Doctrines: There are three stages of Heavenly Father's plan: premortal, mortal, and postmortal.

As servants of Heavenly Father, we have the responsibility and privilege of knowing where we came from and why we are here in this mortal life and this knowledge helps understand that we are living in a three-stage journey. The fist stage was our premortal life, there, a great war took place and we chose to come here and receive a body. The next stage is the life on this earth where we strive to keep the commandments and try to become like Heavenly Father. And finally, the third stage is where we are going to live for eternity according to our lives on this earth.

Supporting Scriptures:

Alma 12:25-Due to Heavenly Father's great and perfect plan of Salvation, we can have the Atonement of Jesus Christ and be forgivin of our sins

Moses 5:11-Eve was happy because she realized if her and Adam never transgressed then the plan never could progress and they would never really know true happiness because they experienced sadness.

Inspirational Writings:

Perhaps the most common profound question that investigators ask is where do we come from and why are we on this earth. A knowledge of the plan of salvation will come in handy when explaining this principle of our purpose in this life. We need to approach this principle with a positive, excited attitude and put our trust in God.
