Principles and Doctrines: Bearing testimony invites the Spirit into our teaching.

A testimony can be defined as a spiritual witness and assurance given by the Holy Ghost. It is well known that this assurance is what gets people converted to the gospel of Jesus. Sharing your testimony often is one of the most powerful ways of inviting the Spirit and helping others feel the Spirit. It is important to note that the church does not convert by signs and wonders, but by the testimony of the Holy Ghost. It is not loud, but a still small voice.

Supporting Scriptures:

2 Nephi 33:1-The Holy Ghost can do so much for us to strengthen us spiritually. Here we see that due to Nephi's faith, the Holy Ghost was able to make his words and writings mighty. This aided in showing other people the truthfulness of the Gospel.

D&C 100:5-8-The power of the Holy Ghost is great. It has the ability to make us say things, and bring certain things to our mind from our memory.

Inspirational Writings:

The most important thing to focus on as missionaries is to possess the gift of the Holy Ghost so that it will give us enhanced abilities to teach the gospel. As said before, the Holy Ghost can be used to bring forth things to our memories to say. The only way someone can be converted to the gospel is the the testimony of the Holy Ghost and we can invite the Holy Ghost to testify by bearing our own testimonies.
