Principles and Doctrines: God called Joseph Smith to be the prophet of the Restoration.

One of the most profound concepts of our religion is the fact that God called Joseph Smith specifically to be an instrument in the hands of Heavenly Father and bring forth great restoration of the priesthood and only true Church back to the earth. Joseph Smith did more for all mankind, save Jesus Christ, for service of the Heavenly Father.

Supporting Scriptures:

D&C 1:17-Heavenly Father specifically called Joseph Smith Jun. to keep certain commandments given by the Lord.

D&C 136:37-Throughout time, the Lord called his faithful servants as prophets and instruments for his work. Joseph Smith is no exception, he was specially called to fulfill his mission which he faithfully completed.

Inspirational Writings:

The most important thing at the time was to harbor in the restoration of the gospel past the great apostasy. Joseph Smith was called to do just that. He was to lead the begininning of Jesus Christ's true chruch on this earth. At that time, he was the leader and prophet and because he served the Lord faithfully, this church was succsessful, despite the many trials and obsticals that were need to overcome. If we learn from Joseph and faithfully keep Heavenly Father's commandments, we will be blessed.
