Study Journal #22

Date: Nov. 18, 2008

Principles and Doctrines: Effective planning, goal setting, and time management help focus missionary efforts and increase success.

Missionaries who prayerfully prioritize their activities are able to accomplish much. The mission president will provide a general schedule appropriate to the culture, including when to arise in the morning, study times, preparation days, proselyting hours, and when to retire in the evening. Missionaries will be responsible to plan their daily activities within mission guidelines in order to accomplish the Lord's work.

Supporting Scriptures:

D&C 109:8-The House of God is a House of Order, we need to organize ourselves and establish a routine to better serve the Lord.

Inspirational Writings:

The better organized we are, the better chance of achieve our goals and having success on our mission. President Monson said that if we make a goal, we have a much better chance that it will be accompished if we write it down. Missions are set up to gain the most out of our time possible, and we do this by creating a House of Order. We will always have help from our mission president, but we need to know our own needs and set our sight accordingly.
